Event Information 44What: The Arizona Middle School Science Bowl is an academic competition open to middle school students in the State of Arizona. It is sanctioned by the Department of Energy's National Science Bowl® and is regionally organized yearly by members of the Arizona Technology Council's Workforce Development Committee and other local community leaders. The (Regional) Arizona Middle School Science Bowl consists of several question and answer matches in a Round Robin and Double Elimination tournament. Winners of this regional event advance to the National Science Bowl® Competition in Washington, D.C.
44Date: Maybe you just missed the 2010 competition, but the Middle School Science Bowl is usually held in March of each year... stay posted for more information on next year's event in early 2011!
44Who Can Participate: Any team of middle school students (grades 6-8) headed by at least one coach and include four team members (It is recommended that there is one alternate on each team). Registration for this event is currently closed. It will be reopened around September.
44Location: The Middle School Science Bowl is held on Arizona State University's Tempe Campus.
